Private vs Shared Maps in LunaMap
A map can be set to shared or private, depending on access requirements. A shared map can be viewed by any member of its workspace and modified by the map owner and any Administrator. Private maps, on the other hand, are only accessible to the owner of the map or an Administrator.
Setting a new map as private or shared
- The sharing setting for a new map can be found in the Create new map dialog.
- In the Create new map dialog, use the checkbox to set the map as either shared or Private.
- To save changes, click Save. To exit the dialog box without saving, click Cancel.

Setting an existing map as private or shared
- From the map page, open the Map panel on the left navbar.
- As the owner of the map or an Administrator, an edit button (pencil icon) appears on the map card when hovering over it. Click on this button to open the Edit map dialog.
- From the Edit map dialog, it is possible to set the map as either private or public.
- To save changes, click Save. To exit the dialog box without saving, click Cancel.
