Advanced QGIS I
Instructor: Cliff Patterson, PhD.
Building upon LunaGeo’s Introduction to QGIS course, Advanced QGIS I introduces participants to additional functionality in QGIS. Through eight instructor-led tutorials, participants learn how to (1) geoprocess using the graphical modeler, (2) georeference scanned maps, (3) geocode a list of addresses, (4) process and extract imagery (e.g. mosaicing rasters), (5) conduct density analysis to produce heatmaps, (6) use network analysis to create distance isolines, (7) generate new geometries, and (8) produce high quality map outputs.
This course is instructor-led and conducted via Zoom. The course content is 4 hours, but with breaks the total length is 5 hours. Students will receive background instruction before participating in 6 to 8 tutorials.
